Here is a video of the final match in the RoboCup 2007 Humanoid League soccer competitions:

Titleholder Team Osaka, Japan vs. NimbRo of Freiburg University, Germany

It was one of the best humanoid soccer maches ever, if not the best.

This match was amazing. It was great to experience it in person this year. It seemed that team Nimbro either made some last minute improvements or they saved some strategy for the last match. They clearly dominated this last match with team Osaka and their strategy was clearly different then the proceeding days. Nimbro's robots appeared more stable and cooperative in this last match.

The video although good doesn't give it justice. I don't find hard to believe that humanoid robots will compete with humans for the world cup by 2050, maybe sooner.
