You may have seen Kondo's new controler board called Motion Processor. A successor/alternative to RCB-1.

It was designed by Himeji Soft Works Co. who make some interesting humanoid designs and controler boards and recently are also into dressing up robots as dolls.

In case you can read Japanse, here'sthe operations manual for the new controler.

The good news - yes, it can be used with a wide range of sensors, has a lot more sensor ports, and features a fairly robust scripting language. It's used by quite a few of the top ROBO-ONE competitors including Sugiura (Dynamizer), Maru (King Kizer), etc.

The bad news - because of the price and the lack of English documentation, it hasn't sold well, if at all, outside of Japan. And, since it's about two years old now, it's likely to be replaced by something better sooner rather than later.
